About Sandyholme
Sandyholme is a substantial character house standing in its own grounds in the peaceful village of Studland. It has been set up to give greatest possible flexibility and although it is usually let as a whole with up to 25+7 beds (including the occasional beds), it can also on occasion be let by floor giving around 11 beds on theground floor and 14 beds on the first floor, or by individual units ranging from 2 beds upwards. The units are as follows:
Unit 1 – Kimmeridge – sleeping 6
This is on the ground floor and comprises:
- A lounge/dining room with a kitchen area.
- Bedroom 1 with 2 single beds.
- Bedroom 2 with two sets of bunks providing beds for 4.
- A bathroom with a walk in shower, wash basin, and toilet.
- This unit has wheelchair access.
Unit 2 – Studland – sleeping 5
This is also on the ground floor and comprises:
- A lounge/dining/bedroom which includes 3 single beds.
- A separate bedroom containing one set of bunk beds providing beds for 2.
- A bathroom with bath, wash basin, shower and toilet.
- A separate kitchen.
- This unit contains its own outside entrance and is therefore suitable for well controlled dogs by prior arrangement.
Unit 3 – Lulworth – sleeping 12
This is on the first floor and comprises:
- Family room 1 with two sets of bunks providing beds for 4, plus en suite.
- Family room 2 with two sets of bunks providing beds for 4, plus en suite.
- Family room 3 with two sets of bunks providing beds for 4.
- A separate kitchen/dining room.
- There are toilets on the landing.
- There is also a shower room on the landing.
- The family rooms above can on occasions be rented separately with shared facilities.
Unit 4 – Durdle Door – sleeping 2
This is also on the first floor and comprises a studio room containing 2 single beds, a lounge/dining area and a kitchenette. It has a toilet on the landing and there is also a shower room on the landing.
Occasional beds
In addition to the single beds and bunks set out above, there are 5 single fold up beds and a double futon for extra guests if required. These provide an additional 7 beds making a total of 32 for the house.
General areas
In addition to the individual units, there is a spacious lounge/meeting/games room for use by all the guests, a spacious entrance lobby, a conservatory and a laundry room. The property stands in its own grounds which are laid out to patio, lawn and wooded surroundings. It has its own driveway and there is parking for around 10 cars.
What You Will Need To Provide
Each unit comes complete with kitchen facilities and duvets/pillows are provided. Linen packs comprising sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers can be provided for a small charge. You will need to bring your own towels and tea towels.
